Event Hire
Te Karaiti Pou Herenga Waka Marae, corner of Orly Ave & Cape Road, Mangere is ideal for your next whanau event or hui.

Centrally situated in Mangere, close to the airport, motorway and within walking distance is the popular Mangere Flea market on every Saturday morning, Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa Swimming Pool Complex, Mangere Arts Centre - Nga Tohu o Uenuku and Mangere Pak’nSave.

Flat rate: $1,000 per night

$500 bond secures booking

$300 cancellation fee
All prices include GST

 


Bond is refundable or part thereof pending no damages/breakages; nothing missing or removed; complex left clean and tidy. Bond will be kept to cover these costs.

Tangihanga:

 We are a Church first then a Marae. Hireage for tangihanga only through Church affiliation at $500 per night, maximum 3 nights. 
 

Opt-out clause: In the event of a Church whanau tangihanga this will take priority over a booking. 
It becomes the hirers’ responsibility to find alternative accommodation.

 

Marae Sleeping Area
Due to Council regulations, 45 people are allowed to sleep upstairs; 15 downstairs. Includes mattress/fitted bottom sheet/pillow & pillow case.  Mattresses do not leave the premises – they cannot be hired out.

Vacate 10 am on departure day.

 

Dining Room/Kitchen/Ablution Block

Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc. Seating, tables, crockery for 100 people - hirer supplies extra at own cost. Kitchen operates on gas hob/electric oven and 1 electric oven, dishwasher, 2 hangi cookers hirer supplies own gas bottles.  Hangi cookers are not to leave the premises.

$450 Flat rate per day includes hall/kitchen/ablution block.

   

 

 

Day Hireage
$500 for use between 9am to 5pm weekdays
